1. Do I have to sign a service contract to receive service?
No service contract is required to receive service. Call us when you need help. We resolve your issue and bill you for parts and labor.
We do offer custom service agreements upon request.
2. Will I be billed for travel time?
If you are located within our 50 mile service range, no travel time will be charged. Our travel time charge is $.60 / mile.
3. Do I have to bring my equipment in for repair?
Even though we do offer in-house service, we can go onsite if it is more convenient for the client.
4. Does Synergy offer a minimum diagnostic fee?
Yes, our minimum diagnostic fee is $50. It includes troubleshooting and a repair quote. If you choose to repair your equipment, the
minimum diagnostic fee will be applied to your repair balance. This fee applies to in-store repairs only.
5. Is a credit check required to open a business account?
A credit application is required for any new client seeking terms. Our invoices are due upon receipt. Purchases above $1500 require
a 50% down payment with the balance being due upon delivery.
6. Does Synergy guarantee parts and labor?
Yes, we offer a 30 day guarantee on all labor including in-house, on-site and remote. All parts are covered under the manufacturers warranty.
7. I travel with my laptop frequently. Can Synergy assist me remotely when I have issues?
Yes, we can resolve most non-hardware based issues with our remote support technologies. An internet connection is required
to recieve support.
8. Does Synergy support products purchased from other vendors?
Yes, we support products that were originally purchased from other vendors. Labor warranties are not transferrable.
9. How do I contact Synergy after hours when I have an emergency?
When calling our main office number after hours, you will be given the option to contact a technician on call.
10. Does Synergy sell new computers and laptops?
Yes, we are a Dell certified reseller. We can provide you with competitive quotes on PC's, laptop, monitors, servers and accessories.
11. Do you offer computer recycling services?
Yes, we offer eWaste recycling services for a small fee. Please refer to our eWaste Recycling information on our Services page.
12. Do you offer hosting services?
Yes, we can handle all of your hosting needs including: email, web site and DNS hosting.
13. What forms of payment do you accept?
If you are an established client, all on-site business support will be billed to your account. (Refer to #5 if you will need to open a business account).
In-house repairs are payable with Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, checks and cash.
14. Is there a 1 hour minimum charge for technician labor?
Yes, there is a 1 hour minimum charge for on-site labor. There is no minimum charge for remote support. Remote support charges do not
begin until 15 minutes has elapsed.
15. Do you recommend off-site backup for my valuable data?
Yes, we highly recommend off-site backup! When disaster strikes your home or office, off-site backup offers protection
from catastrophic data loss. We have several off-site backup options.
16. I thought it was unlawful to charge sales tax on services?
No, the State of Louisiana states that labor to repair movable property is taxable.
17. What computer platforms do you support?
We service Windows, Apple and Linux based systems.
18. How long does it take to dispatch a technician to my location?
If you are within our home range we can usually dispatch a technician within 2 hours. In some case the wait time might be longer. If you have an emergency, we will
give you our highest priority!
